OD: Why Steadman And Men Like Him Will Never Have Oprah

OverDose: I was reading this quote that Stedman (Oprah's on-and-off-again boo) said about Oprah. In reading it, it became appearant to me why their relationship never worked out...
“I don’t think they understand the value of who she is as a human being and what she’s done. Because a prophet has no honor in his own town. I think they take her for granted a lot. I’m just saying, from an insider’s point of view, that I don’t think she gets the just due based on who she really is and what she’s done for the Chicagoland area… she’s a great humanitarian, a great leader.” (quote via GossipOnThis)

Oprah is cool, she has done a lot for charities/foundations, but calling her a 'modern day prophet' is a stretch... Men like Stedman will never "have" women like Oprah because they over idolize their women. I respect Stedman for respecting Oprah so much that he has to praise her all the time, but after all these years, you think he'd realize that the relationship will not be successful. Post your thoughts below.

In Case You Missed These Performances From Wale x Christina

Wale has been doing his thing and paid a little visit to the Davide Letterman show for a mini performance. I'm not really feeling the cornrows, I actually prefer the dread locks, but that Billionaire Boys Club tee is kinda hot. And the audience was feeling him, so I can't be mad.

Christina Aguilera has been getting a lot of hate lately. People say she's 'biting' Lady Gaga's swagg or whatever... But you all must have forgotten, Christina has been around, Gaga is the neo. And quite frankly, she's killing this new saucy version of herself. She performed “Not Myself Tonight” live on Oprah. That's a good look, especially since her album drops on June 8.

Pharrell Parties with Oprah, Usher, Diddy, and Obama

On Monday, post-Met Costume Institute Gala, Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell, Diddy, and Usher all let loose and partied at the New York City’s Mark Hotel. Anna Wintour (Vogue editor) had asked N.E.R.D. to perform at the exclusive event, along with DJ Cassidy, and Katy Perry. That's my kinda of party... but how did Pharrell top that off? well, he spent Cinco de Mayo partying with President Obama...

Mo’Nique’s Brother On Oprah To Speak On Molestation

Academy Award winning actress and comedian, Mo’Nique, did an interview with Essence Magazine back in 2008 and gave some insight to her life. Basically she said that she was molested by her older brother. Mo’Nique said that her brother would lure her into the bathroom with candy and has never apologized for the abuse. So it is shocking to me that Oprah would invite him (and not her) on the show to talk about how he molested her. This is a situation needs to be handled between Mo'Nique, her brother, and a psychologist privately, not something on national television without both parties present.
‘Because me and my brother were both their children, and I just don’t know the kind of position they felt they were in. My father was very upset, but it never got mentioned again. I’ll never forget my mother saying, ‘If it’s true, it will surface again,’ and I remember thinking, ‘Why would I lie? Why is there even an if in this?’ I was angry with them for so long, because I felt as if they should have seen what was happening. My brother is a monster to me. (via MissJia)
