M.I.A. Thinks Justin Bieber Is Offensive

M.I.A. is responding to the criticism surrounding her controversial music video for “Born Free” and basically said that Justin Beiber is more offensive than she is. Just in case you haven't seen her video, #Dimplezshrug, because it was so violent it was banned from YouTube. The clip was directed by Romain Gavras and it really encompassed the point, but for M.I.A. to sit there and say she doesn't know what the big deal is, and that J. Biebs is offensive, sounds like someone needs some attention. I'm sure as you read this, Justin Beiber fans are planning a 10 year boycott on all M.I.A. material.
“If I’m honest, I find the new Justin Bieber video more violent and more of an assault to my eyes and senses than what I’ve made,” M.I.A. tells NME magazine.... “I did nine hours of phone interviews yesterday and all anyone wanted to know about was the meaning of the video,” she adds. “It completely baffles me that everyone seems obsessed with deciphering the meaning to it, in the same way as the Brick Lane riot for American Apparel leggings baffled me.”
...with all the Jay-luminati rumors, can you REALLY blame folks for wanting to know the meaning behind what they're watching? Lets be real, we're in a very lackadaisical society, so the fact that anyone ever cares so much as to care to ask, well, it shows that we're making progress. M.I.A. will release her third album /\/\/\Y/\ on July 13. The title spells out her real name Maya in slashes. The first single “XXXO” off "Maya" hit earlier this week, [Download Here].The Blaqstarr version can be heard only on her website... Hopefully she comes back from this J. Beiber remark before July.
