Chris Brown & Usher Steam It Up In Jamaica

Chris Brown and Usher were two of many celebrities who performed down in Jamaica fro their Summer Fest (SumFest). They were joined on stage by, Jamaica's own, Elephant Man. This is just a little clip of Chris Brown renditioning "Brown Skinned Girl", crowd loves the kid; not sure how I'm feeling about them spandex looking capri pants though... There's rumored to have been an epic dance off between Usher and Chris, but until I see video footage, I'm not buying it... Anyway, check out the clip below.

Chris Brown Has 12 Strands.......

I don't know what exactly he's got 12 strands of, but that's the title of his new trailer. Word to the dude Colin Tilley for directing this, killin' the vantage points... #NoShade to Chris Brown, but after crying at the EBT Awards, I was expecting a different approach on the comeback. If you're going to cry on national television, release a slow song not an a** kickin'... We'll just have to see how this thing plays out...



In other Chris Breezy related news... word is that Rihanna called him up after she saw him cry; Matt Kemp ain't hittin' and shawty wants a winner... Chris is still on probation and chickie is texting him. She's probably trying to get dude arrest.

"Rihanna has reportedly been in contact with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The Te Amo singer, who was assaulted by Brown before last years Grammy Awards is said to have spoken to Chris over the telephone. A source told heat magazine: "It's been almost a year since they last spoke, but Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again. Seeing how emotional he was on set [at the BET Awards] really touched her. She'd never seen him like that before. Chris told her that he felt like he's grown up in the past year. He's said he's so happy to be back in touch with her. They were each other's first love and he's missed her so much. Rihanna knows that if he wanted him back, he'd be there in a second." [Source]

Stars React To Chris Brown's BET Performance

Rap-Up caught up with a couple of stars backstage at the BET Awards to ask folks what they though of Chris Brown’s Michael Jackson tribute... I know on my facebook we've been having a discussion about whether or not Chris' tears were genuine; and if they were, were they tears for his career or tears for a fallen legend.... Either way, he still killed the performance, and tears are tears. I think he needed that 'forgiveness' (pity) from the general public, and after sobbing for MJ, he's got it....

BET Performance Highlights

In case you missed the 2010 BET Awards, or you just feel like watching some highlights again... I've got your back. The BET Awards were definitely a step up from last year's tragedy, but there is still major room for improvement, and when I say improvement, I mean, they all gotta get their act together, tributes, transitions and all... The best performance of the night, by far, was when Chris Brown paid homage to Michael Jackson, but the others weren't bad either... Alicia Keys carries her baby weight well. Check out the videos and my commentary below...

As much as I stan for Ye' his performance at the BET Awards was forgettable... I mean, he was posing the entire time, but I still love him, and can't wait for his new album to drop in September... Check out Kanye West as he performs his new single, "Power"...

Keyshia Cole hit the stage, screeching/off-key, but it was her first appearance since she had her baby, so we'll let her slide. She looked good. B.o.B was on stage, and then there was a malfunction with the sound... The crowd was dead silent until Eminem hit the stage. Check out Eminem as he performs his new single "Not Afraid" while being backed up by a gospel choir.

Alicia Keys paraded that preganancy belly up and down that stage... I'm sure Mashonda (Swizz's ex wife) was at home trying to sleep with a broken heart as Alicia preformed "Unthinkable"

Drake and Young Jeezy take the stage and perform "Lose My Mind" the remix, with a new verse... Check it out. *sidenote* Jeezy is currently working with TAJ on his All White Everything Video, I've seen some stills, and trust me, its HOT...

Diddy, Dirty Money, Rick Ross, T.I. & Nicki Minaj, took to the stage using BET's new smoke machine... Yes, you may recognize this smoke machine from Kanye's performance, but that joint was working triple time here... *note Nicki Minaj's lipsyncing, and Dirty Money's back up dancing... I love Dawn, really I do, but the group should be called Diddy & The Folks That Stand Behind Him..."Hello. Good Morning"

Chris Brown pays homage to the late great Michael Jackson. This is the best tribute performance since MJ's passing. Unfortunately, due to being banned from the BET Awards last year, Chris was unable to perform. But this year, with the Jackson family's blessing, Chris Brown took the stage and brought the crowd to tears as he cried for the fallen king of pop... Watch the performance below...

Europe Tells Chris Brown He Ain't Welcome!

Yesterday, rumors were going bananas about Chris Brown having to cancel his tour because he was denied access into Europe... and I was thinking to myself there's no way he could be denied access to a whole geographically region... But, he was. And Chris told his fans via twitter that his tour (which was supposed to kick off in the U.K. tomorrow, June 9th), has been canceled). He explained the reason behind the cancellation, citing his inability to gain entry into Europe. But in thinking about it, he is a felon now, so them visas ain't gon be easy to come by.... sucks to be him, but someone please hand Chris a map and let him know the Europe is a region.

Are Chris Brown and Rita Ora an item??? No. As a matter of fact contrary to what I thought this girl is NOT Rita Ora, this is actually Jasmine Sanders and she IS Chris Brown's new boo.. Jasmine could pass for Rita's stunt double, if she really wanted to.... In case you don't know who Rita Ora is, she is part of Roc Nation's newly signed roster. A couple days ago, Chris Brown posted this picture (the first one) of him and Rita on his twitter. The caption read "Ummmm!!!!". Moments ago Chris Brown posted the second picture with caption "Chillin", and my twitter timeline went bonkers about Chris Brown's new boo... They're dating, but if they are they're a super cute couple. Surprisingly, she looks nothing like Rihanna... o_O

Kelly Rowland Speaks Out On Duet With Chris Brown

Word on the street is Kelly Rowland and Chris Brown are working on a collaboration, and I normally wouldn't care to report it, but Kelly seems to be speaking out about it.

She tells PinBoardBlog.com, "Chris Brown and I did a record together. I don't judge anybody, as many people point fingers towards someone (and) there are four more pointing at us. I judge Chris on his talent. I think people forget that they weren't there and who the hell are they to judge anybody? That was something that happened between them (Brown and Rihanna) and the people that they're around. It has nothing to do with us."

I totally respect what she has to say, but why bring it up in the first place?... Hmmmm... #DimplezShrug

New Video: No Bullshxt by Chris Brown

As soon as this video dropped, folks on twitter went bananas. Some folks say Chris Brown was doing too much, others were asking for the sex tape?... The way I see it is, when Chris Brown first hit the scene, he was 16, wide-eyed and innocent. Then there was an "incident". And now he's over sexualizing and compensating his image... But, at the same time, the kid's gotta grow up sometime, and he took his time growing up, so you really can't be too mad. If this song and video were made by any other artist, there would be no problem... but I'll let you be the judge, tell me, is this a hit or miss?

Blue Ballin' Chris Brown

Word on the street is that nobody wants to let Chris Brown use their club to host his 21st birthday party in May. I guess he's been trying different venues in all the major cities like New York City, Miami and Las Vegas, and they're all "no-go"s. I guess they're still holding a grudge over the incident that happened OVER a year ago, but the venues aren't the only ones...

Chris Brown is having trouble finding a suitable venue for his 21st birthday on May 5. Sources say Brown was shopping the event to clubs in New York, Miami and Las Vegas. But some promoters were hesitant to book the troubled singer because, “They don’t want to mess up their relationship, or their potential relationship, with Rihanna.” He’s now looking for private homes or restaurants in Manhattan. A Brown spokesman had no comment.

They're blue ballin' this kid something fierce... The other day I heard "Kiss Kiss" (a duet with him and T-Pain) on the radio, and they had edited Chris Brown out the song... Even radio doesn't want the cat... I don't condone domestic violence, but dang, if Rihanna, someone involved in the altercation can move past it, why can't you?

I don't know who this cat is, but he is horrible. He's this Chris Brown look alike who has been paid the "big bucks" to go to places and impersonate Chris Brown... Dauche was telling me about when he got paid some madd money to come out to San Diego, and they put on the flier that the real Chris Brown was going to be in the building, but came up w/ some lie when poser boy got caught by an avid youtube watcher... All that glitters ain't gold, and all that's light-skinned ain't not tone-deaf.
